Every NILify athlete gets a built-in storefront at nilify.ai/yourhandle/shop. It lives inside your link-in-bio profile and the public Merch marketplace.

• Print on demand — nothing is printed until someone orders. Zero inventory, zero upfront cost.
• Designed with AI — describe a vibe, generate artwork, drop it on the product.
• You set the retail price — we show the base cost and what you earn on every unit.
• We handle fulfillment — printing, packing, shipping, returns. You get notified when orders ship.

Have these ready — it makes the next 8 minutes a lot smoother:

• Your handle is claimed — your shop URL needs one. Set it in Editor.
• Name, jersey number, school, sport, class year on your profile — these auto-fill product titles and descriptions.
• One design idea — a phrase, a hashtag, a vibe. "Friday Night Lights," "WR1," your last name in chrome. AI takes it from there.
• Under 18? A parent needs to approve and connect a payout account before any money can land. See Parent payout setup.

Open Merch → Create. You'll see two paths:

• Quick create — premium tee, guided 4-step flow. Best for your first product.
• Studio — full catalog (hoodies, hats, tanks, long-sleeves), back prints, saved designs. Best after you've shipped one.

Pick Quick create for now. You can always open Studio later.

You have three ways to get artwork onto the product:

• Generate with AI (recommended) — pick a style preset (Street, Retro, Minimal, Faith, Bold), tweak the brief, hit Generate. We auto-fill your name, number, school colors, and sport so the design feels like yours from the first try.
• Upload your own — PNG or JPG, transparent background preferred, at least 1800×2400px for a sharp print. We scan the image for copyright/logo issues before it goes live.
• Pick a saved design — anything you've generated before lives in your design library (Studio only).

Each AI generation costs 1 design credit. You start with a few free; bundles are available on the Credits page.

Once the artwork looks right, choose the blank product. For your first drop we recommend a single color + the full size run.

• Color — Black, White, and Heather Grey convert best. You can add more later.
• Sizes — XS–3XL is enabled by default. Disabled sizes simply won't appear in your shop.
• Back print — optional. Adds a small base-cost upcharge per unit; tap to add a second AI design or upload.

The mockup preview updates live. Zoom in — what you see is what ships.

The earnings card shows three numbers in real time:

• Base cost — what we pay the printer per unit (fixed by product/color/size).
• Retail price — what the customer pays. You set this.
• Your earnings — retail minus base cost minus the small platform fee. Every sale.

Most athletes price tees at $28–$34 and hoodies at $48–$58. Round numbers convert better. Don't be afraid to test — you can update the price after publishing.

Before a product goes public it runs through a quick review:

• Image scan — flags logos, copyrighted artwork, and trademarked phrases (school logos require the school's permission — your name and jersey number are fine).
• Mockup render — Printful generates the final on-product images we show to shoppers.
• Listing copy — AI drafts a title and description from your profile; edit if you want.

Most products clear review automatically in under a minute. Anything flagged shows up in your Studio with a note on what to change.

Once approved, hit Publish. Your product immediately appears in three places:

• Your profile under the Merch section.
• The public Athlete Merch marketplace.
• A direct product link you can share anywhere: nilify.ai/yourhandle/shop/...

The success screen gives you a Share button (native share sheet on mobile, copy-link on desktop). Drop it in your IG bio, post a story, tag NILify — the first 24 hours after launch convert the best.

Money from every sale lands in a connected payout account.

• 18+ athletes — connect Stripe in Settings → Billing (5 minutes, government ID required).
• Under 18 — a parent connects the account in Parent payouts. The athlete's profile shows a small banner reminding them until it's set up.
• Payout schedule — once an order ships, the earnings clear after a short return window and pay out on a rolling basis.

You can publish products before payouts are connected — they'll just sit as "ready to earn." No sales are lost; they queue up until the account is live.
